Having a great homebirth team is important, but is there something more to having a transformational homebirth?

The beauty of care with a midwife is the deep bond you form, you trust her to be your guide and support throughout your pregnancy and birth.

But this bond can unintentionally create dependency that can alter the course of your birth because your confidence is in your midwife instead of within you, and then your birth becomes about what she thinks is best instead of what you need out of your journey.

If you were planning for the greatest climb of your life, would you stop at just finding a great mountain guide or would you also prepare for your trip? Would you want your guide to carry you to the top or would you want a level of confidence to take the climb yourself, to feel the satisfaction of reaching the top on your own, to enjoy the view knowing you had the strength to reach the peak? Would you want to take the journey you were destined to take instead of following a guide?

A great midwife is a benefit for homebirth, and like a mountain guide, she carries supplies and knowledge, but she should not lead your journey. Only you know your strengths, limits, and why you are on this journey. It takes knowledge and confidence, which you can find in the Wise Woman Traditions, practices used for generations before us, that support the quiet resurgence of family-led homebirth we see today.

I’m a New Headline. Edit Me!

Wise Woman Traditions were understood by every mother who was also the main caregiver in her home, who knew remedies to give her children, formulas to help colic and insomnia, and how to birth her children safely at home, with a midwife or alone.

These traditions have been hidden but not forgotten and if you’re a homebirther who wants to take the journey that is destined for you, who wants to experience the highest highs that can be reached during peak experiences like natural birth, then you are invited to a free virtual birth class all about Wise Woman Traditions for Birth!
Save my seat!

Even if you can't make it to the live class, you will have access to the recordings, but only if you register to join!

The 3 key strategies outlined in this class will be important if you:

Have any doubt about your ability to give birth naturally;

Ever felt conflicted about a compromise you made with your midwife based on her requirements, like monitoring or lab testing, thinking you were being flexible;

Find it difficult to connect with the feeling or vision of your upcoming birth experience;

Have questioned who's really in charge of your birth after your midwife has made one or more decisions about what is and is not allowed for you to have a homebirth.

"What's so cool about this program is it's tailored to who you are and how to take that into your birth...it's been so empowering because it's so specific to you and your birth, not just the anatomy of birth, in fact most of the questions that were answered, I didn't even know I had!" ~Starre

Hi! I'm Tristin & I'm excited for you to join us!

I have been supporting families through their prenatal and birth experience as a childbirth educator and prenatal acupuncturist for over a decade, and what I see over and over again, is that we are missing a core foundation to childbirth preparation - understanding YOURSELF & the cycles of nature that occur around us everyday and teach us about ourselves and birth!

Most childbirth education classes focus on birth itself - the anatomy and physiology, comfort techniques, and interventions, but without knowing how to apply this information to your birth, it doesn't prepare you for the most difficult parts of birth, the challenges of communication, of facing your fears about birth, and preparing for the unknowns that can be inherent to birth.

I put together this new class to explore the aspects of YOU that you will bring to your birth and how to use that clarity to give you strength while building trust in your body and your own insincts for your birth.

I can't wait to see you there!
